I didn't make it to beta

What is there to say? I had a 22 day cycle. My beta was Friday and AF arrived Monday morning. My next baseline ultrasound is Wednesday and I'll start BCPs for IVF #1 that night.

We're ready. Maybe this was all good. Because we are so ready now. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

And this week did bear some good news. Namely that my insurance company has morons for customer service representatives. Instead of giving us our total benefit paid thus far, they gave us the total amount  billed for reimbursement. Apparently doctors can bill the insurance companies whatever they want but the insurance companies have set amounts that they will reimburse.

You take the allowable reimbursement amount and subtract from it your copay, coinsurance and any deductible. What is left is your benefit amount paid.

Turns out we still have about $7500 left in our policy. It should be enough to cover a full, fresh IVF and half of another fresh IVF cycle should we need it. After the first IVF we'll be out of pocket, but we're willing to risk it and not enroll in the insurance plan. Wish us luck...
