220 volts

Did you know that outlets in America are 110 volts 

and outlets in Europe are 220 volts?

Neither did I.

On Sunday I used the hotel’s hair dryer.

I melted my hairbrush and part of my hair.

I now have bangs.

{ I can assure you mine are not this cute }

On Monday I dug out my own hairdryer.

I heard a funny noise.

A whirring sound.

I ignored it.

And then I thought of my new bangs.

I turned my hairdryer off.

The whirring went away.

Turned it back on and heard whirring.

Looked down the barrel and saw flames.

Not needing any more bangs,

I wore a ponytail on Tuesday.
