Patio Before and After

We have been meaning to replace the steps to our patio since we moved in this house three years ago, but the fact that they started to rot and splinter expedited the process. I was nervous at first that the new stairs would take up too much space, but it turns out we have enough brick left over from pulling up the old patio to extend what's left (which will be a project for next summer). My husband and his friend did an awesome job building the new stairs. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out! Before: After:
